Kreis 3, commonly known as Wiedikon, is one of Zurich’s most liveable residential districts. Rent for a 1-bedroom flat starts around CHF 2,100, with 2-bedroom apartments closer to CHF 3,100. These figures sit slightly above the city average but reflect the quality of housing and the neighbourhood’s growing popularity among professionals and families.

The main advantage of Kreis 3 is the combination of residential calm with genuine urban convenience. You are not stuck in a suburb, but you are also not dealing with the noise and density of the city core. For expats who want a practical, well-connected base without sacrificing quality of life, Wiedikon is a strong option.
